🎉 Introducing a new action bar in your mobile apps!

Now you have a robust action bar that is intuitive and familiar to anyone using YouTube. With Uscreen’s new video action bar, you can expect:
- Increased shares and turn virality for your video content.
- A simplified playlist creation flow with the ‘Save’ button.
- Improved video download experience that lets you watch and download at the same time.

More shares
Our primary goal for an A/B test was to increase the number of people using the app’s “Share” functionality because of the newly prioritized and visible “Share” button. Previously, the share functionality was hidden under the “three dots” icon, making it complicated for users to find the share function. Now, the “Share” button is right in your face, this simple change boosted shares by 2.5x, allowing more people to see your content. In the future, we will work more on optimizing the share functionality itself, but this is an amazing initial improvement that led to impactful results for our customer’s virality.
Break your heart
Previously, our “Favorites” button was a heart icon, making it confusing for users to understand the button’s actual function - which is to save the video on a predefined playlist and reduce friction for users to access the videos they want. Now, we combined custom playlists and favorites into the “Save” button with a little bookmark icon. On our A/B test, users actively used this new button and saved 50% more content in their favorites.
Ready for future improvements
This action bar is available for single videos only, but we will expand it to collections and live events. In addition, we can now add more use-case-specific features to our apps and expand this action bar simply and efficiently.
